Description

The MHS-800 Stirring Hot Plate ramps up quickly to 380C. It has a ceramic coated circular plate 5.25 inches in diameter. It uses advanced microprocessor technology to control both temperature and stirring speed. Samples are heated to the selected temperature quickly and accurately. Just choose the desired temperature with the up/down buttons and walk away with confidence. Speed control is also precise, using a digital display with linked adjustment knob. Regardless of the selected stirring speed, it employs a soft start feature that improves the magnetic coupling of the motor and the stirring bar, thereby preventing splashing and irregular mixing. The white ceramic top is chemically resistant, easy to clean and provides the best sample visibility, making it easier to observe changes and monitor reactions. Whenever the plate surface is above 50’C, a safety LED lights up to indicate HOT and remains illuminated until the plate cools to a safe and comfortable temperature. Each unit is supplied with a detachable electric plug and one magnetic stirring bar. An optional support rod can be installed in the threaded mounting port on the back of the unit.
