The Frey Scientific 528334 Student Hot Plate has a one-piece aluminum top for heating glassware and contents to a fixed temperature of 400 degrees C, and includes a durable round 4.5-inch diameter hot plate that is crack- and chip-resistant, a bi-metallic thermostat for reliable temperature control, and a built-in support rod holder with locking knob. Hot plates are used to heat glassware and contents in laboratories.

This hot plate features a compact design to save bench space and a heats up to a set temperature of 400 degrees C for student safety. The heater boils 300mL of water in 12 minutes. The built-in support rod holder with locking knob at rear holds a standard threaded support rod to suspend instrumentation such as clamps and probes. The unit operates in environments from 4 to 40 degrees C (39 to 104 degrees F). The hot plate comes with a 72″ (234cm) detachable, 3-wire cord and plug.
